Punta Izopo is a marine coastal wetland that is very close to the city of Tela, it is an ideal place for the observation of birds, monkeys, crocodiles while crossing their canals in canoes or kayaks.
Only 8 kilometers from the city of Tela and in one of the richest bays in Honduras, we find Punta Izopo, where we can observe a variety of birds and navigate a mangrove rich in biodiversity to the manatee, the jaguar, the white-faced monkey , the howler monkey, the otters, the quequeos and the anteater. There are birds like: the pajuil, the pink spatula, the osprey, hawks, the jabirú.
There are reptiles such as sea turtles (hawks bill and loggerhead, have been reported) and other freshwater, including crocodiles, garrobos, alligators and iguanas.
